With the first Careers24 Future of HR Awards just around the corner, it's time to announce the industry leaders, teams and organisations that have excelled in people management. Finalists include MTN, Alexander Forbes, Bidvest, DELL, Vodacom, KPMG, Clicks Group, and ABSA.
The Careers24 Future of HR Awards is taking place at the Premier Hotel, O.R Tambo, Johannesburg, on 23 July 2015. Hosted by Topco Media, in partnership with Careers24, these awards bring together industry leaders to celebrate excellence in the HR profession. It recognises individuals, teams and organisations by showcasing strategies and practices that deliver direct impact on business performance as well as innovations that set new standards for the industry.
Finalists amazed the judges with their entries by showing their commitment to best practice solutions in the field of HR - the calibre of entries received for the South African HR Manager of the Year category was equally impressive.
SA Board for People Practices (SABPP) - "I was thrilled by the quality and amount of entries for a first time awards of this nature, across companies and individuals." Siphiwe Moyo observed that "the company awards were most interesting simply for the fact that relatively unknown companies that are not as celebrated are doing some really ground-breaking stuff and more importantly we would not have known those companies should it not have been for these awards."
Careers24 Head of Business Development for Africa, Zunaid Parker, mentioned that it is important to give HR a platform to be recognised, and shows the importance of HR being a more strategic role in business, where HR roles should be seen on more boards and advising CEO's of organisations.
