Consumers entered the competition by buying a Spekko Rice product, sms'ing their dream and name to a given number.
Red Cherry Media produced a 30-second TV Launch promo, informing consumers about the competition and Maintenance promos ran throughout the promotion to highlight that the four shows would be flighting on Wednesdays at 18:27 during April/ May.
Viewers also stood a chance to win - all they had to do was sms their details with a Spekko product barcode to the given number to win R4 000 each.
Thousands of consumers entered the competition with the four finalists having amazingly big dreams.
Our first finalist was Julia from Katlehong in the East Rand, who had dreams of turning her Frut & Veg stall into a successful Fruit & Veg shop.
Lungiswa, our second finalist, is a mother of two from Port Elizabeth, who wanted to turn her hobby of doing hair and massages into a booming business.
Maria from the Free State told us that for the longest time her dream has been to become a paramedic.
Our last finalist was Wigy from Amanzimtoti in Durban who wanted to buy herself a container where she can cook and sell her food from.
The grand prize winner was Lungiswa from Port Elizabeth.
With this show Spekko proved that they didn't just look at their consumers as just that - consumers, but also as people who've got dreams, ambitions, lives and stories.
Red Cherry included Mobile/Digital elements to the campaign by setting up a mobi-site that included Spekko recipes as well as mobile advertising on some key sites.
