OtD Pamphlets Media Intelligence Department will be embarking on their annual depot data analysis visit. As of 8th July to 20th September they will be covering thousands of km's visiting over 24 depots in 54 days reviewing 13,8 million data cells at suburb level to ensure that On the Dot's distribution data is the most accurate in the industry.

Daniel de la Rey (MI Analyst for OtD) will be leaving for Kokstad on the 8th of July visiting Kokstad, Umtata and East London. Oubrey Lechuti will accompany Daniel in Umtata and Kokstad on a marketing quest to gain insight from the residents in these villages. The aim is to bring back footage of actual distributions taking place in tiny villages in these regions. From East London Daniel will be off to Port Elizabeth and George finishing the month of July in Bloemfontein and beginning August off in Kimberley and Klerksdorp. Mid August will bring Daniel back home to review our Doornfontein, Soweto, East Rand and Vereeniging depots followed by Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Newcastle and Pongola. Our final month of September will begin close to home in Pretoria, Brits, Witbank, Polokwane, Louis Trichardt, Tzaneen and finally Nelspruit. The last stretch being Cape Town to review Cape Town, Vredenburg, Worcester, Paarl, Lamberts Bay and Springbok.
The objective of our visits is to quality assure Pamphlets demographics and Newspaper demographics, check demos vs. census, check pockets, sequence pockets, removed or recode nu's, new developments, non-accessible, bulk drops for newspapers, update intersections and update taxi ranks, Google tables and system ready deployment. The fun stuff will follow, not only will be have a live Twitter feed, YOU TUBE uploads and Facebook posting. We will also be sending out a regional newsletter of interesting facts, important information and actual true life experiences of our visit. The first newsletter will be released at the end of July on Eastern Cape, followed by Free State and Gauteng in August, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Region and Western Cape in October.
